UC ingot   Heather Zoller
Zoller recently published “Dialogue, Activism and Democratic Social Change” in Communication Theory and “Communicating Health: Political Risk Narratives in an Environmental Health Campaign” in the Journal of Applied Communication Research. Zoller and graduate student Kayla Gaug are co-authoring an essay about the Occupy Wall Street movement and its implications for public health, to be presented at the International Communication Association convention in Phoenix.

LisaMarie Luccioni
Luccioni Earned nationwide recognition from The Princeton Review, a Massachusetts-based education services company known for its test-prep courses, books and student survey-based college rankings. Luccioni was profiled in “The Best 300 Professors,” a collaboration between the Review and RateMyProfessors.com published April 3. She also was awarded the 2012 Order of Omega Professor of the Year Award, which honors a professor who has positively influenced the university’s Greek community.

Steve Depoe
Depoe was elected International Communication Association chairman.

Gail Fairhurst and Cindy Berryman-Fink
Fairhurst received the Distinguished Scholar award and Berry-Fink received the Lifetime Teaching Excellence award at the National Communication Association’s 97th annual convention this November.

Lisa Newman
Newman received the Sarah Grant Barber Advising Award, which honors a professional advisor, faculty advisor, advising administrator or advising support personnel and is sponsored by UC Undergraduate Academic Advising Association and the Advising Resource Center.

Nancy Jennings
Jennings led a drive to benefit tornado victims in Moscow, Ohio. Around $250 was raised and two carloads of supplies were delivered to the New Richmond Food Pantry in March. Collection and delivery efforts were coordinated with Monroe Elementary School.
