SIS Replacement Project: Come to Introductory Technology Previews
Four potential technology solutions for the University of Cincinnatis Student Information System (SIS)
will be held in early October. The sessions are open to the campus community. It is strongly suggested that those interested in these introductory previews of technology solutions plan to attend all four sessions in order to see some of the innovations and possibilities highlighted by these potential vendors.
Technology vendors (and one foundation) coming to UC to provide preliminary day in the life snapshots of their systems are
- Ellucian
- Kuali Foundation
- Oracle Corp.
- SAP
The four technology-preview sessions will all be held in Room 400ABC, Tangeman University Center.
The presentations times are
- 2-4 p.m., Monday, Oct. 1
- 9-11 a.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2
- 2-4 p.m., Tuesday, Oct. 2
- 9-11 a.m., Wednesday, Oct. 3
According to Douglas K. Burgess, university registrar, These sessions will not be offering in the weeds details on specific functions or capabilities. The sessions are broad previews only. Those who work with the UC student information system should plan to attend all four sessions rather than to target any specific vendor because it is important to develop a broader understanding of the available offerings in the marketplace.
