UC's Carl H. Lindner College of Business to host Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards on March 5


The long-standing event will honor community business leaders who have excelled in achievement and service. The event is open to the public, and registration is required.

Kathleen B. Selker, BBA '77, MBA '78, will recieve the Carl H. Lindner Award for Outstanding Business Achievement on March 5 at the Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards. Selker is president and CEO of northlich.

The Carl H. Lindner College of Business Alumni Board of Governors will once again bestow honors to local business leaders for their contributions to community service and achievement.

Known as Cincinnati’s longest running event recognizing business alumni and partners, this year’s 29th annual Cincinnati Business Achievement Awards will be March 5 in the Presidential Ballroom at the Westin Cincinnati, 21 E. 5th St., downtown Cincinnati.

The event emphasizes accomplishments and support of alumni and business partners who make an impact in the University of Cincinnati's Lindner College of Business, the Cincinnati community and the global business world. Local 12 news anchor Rob Braun will emcee the event.

Lindner’s Board of Governors will present the following honors to:

  • Kathleen B. Selker, BA ’77, MBA ’78, president and CEO of northlich, will receive the Carl H. Lindner Award for Outstanding Business Achievement.
  • Louis H. Lauch Jr., BBA ’68, and David B. Dillon will receive Distinguished Service Awards. Lauch is president of KBM, and Dillon is chairman of the board at The Kroger Company.
  • Western & Southern Financial Group will receive a Business Partnership Award for its support of the Lindner College of Business.
  • Allison Stepaniak, BBA ’15, will receive the Carl H. Lindner Scholarship for her academic success. Stepaniak, a marketing and international business major, is a Marvin P. Kolodzik Scholar and a member of the University Honors program.
