UC Clermont's New LEAP Initiative Focuses on Adults Who Have College Credits but Still Need to Finish Degree
Are you an adult who would like to get an associates degree? Do you have prior college credits? Do you have work experience? Are you a veteran?
If you have answered yes to any of these questions, then UC Clermont College's Learner Engaged Adult Program (LEAP) is for you. This program has been designed particularly for adult students who have prior college credits, work or military experience but who have not finished their associate degree.
LEAP is a series of three, two-hour workshops to assess previous academic credit hours and/or work and military experience. There will be an upcoming workshop series on July 15, July 22 and July 29 from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m.
During the process, UC Clermont faculty and staff advisors will assess your prior work, your prior college credits and/or your military experience to see how all this would apply to existing UC programs. If after reviewing your work experience and/or college credits and none of it fits into any of our programs, they can help you develop your own degree program for an associate of individualized study or an associate of technical study.
Upon your successful completion of these workshops, you will have created an e-portfolio of educational plans for your degree completion.
When you enroll in your completion degree program and register for two or more classes totaling six or more credit hours, UC Clermont College will offer you a scholarship for one class (or three credit hours), good for one calendar year - a $654 value! For more information, call 513-732-5292.
