Hoxworth Opens New Downtown Center

Today, the University of Cincinnati's Hoxworth Blood Center is celebrating the grand opening of their new Neighborhood Donor Center in downtown Cincinnati located at 105 E. 4th Street.

“The new state-of-the-art center is centrally located for those who live and/or work downtown. Our goal is always to make the blood donation process convenient for donors” advises Alecia Lipton, Hoxworth spokesperson. She states, “In fact we will now begin offering shuttle service for downtown businesses who would like to send a small group of employees to donate.”

The Downtown Neighborhood Donor Center is open Tuesday thru Thursday, 7 a.m.-4:30 p.m., and provides free parking for donors.

A grand opening celebration will be held today between the hours of 4-6 p.m. Legendary Cincinnati Reds announcer Marty Brennaman will be making an appearance at 5 p.m. for a meet and greet.
