UC Provost's Faculty Career Award Recognizes Faculty Members' Lifetime Achievements
The Office of the Senior Vice President and Provost is proud to introduce the Faculty Career Award, an honor that recognizes faculty members' achievements at the University of Cincinnati.
I believe in our faculty and want to recognize long-time faculty members whose work has helped shape this university, said Provost Beverly Davenport. The Faculty Career Award allows us to showcase individuals who embody the generosity of spirit and excellence that we value so highly at UC.
Purpose of Award
Each year, the Faculty Career Award recognizes the long-term achievements and contributions of up to two distinguished faculty members who exemplify excellence in all three areas of teaching, research and service at the University of Cincinnati. The award honors faculty members at the rank of professor with more than 10 years of service at the university who have made significant contributions to the success of UC students, faculty, alumni, their scholarly community and/or the community at large.

2. Candidates must demonstrate long-term achievement and contributions in the areas of teaching, research and service. Although the candidate's record may be more heavily weighted toward one of these areas, some degree of excellence is required in all three areas.
Award
1. Award winners will be chosen by a committee selected by the provost.
2. The awards are normally presented at the Annual Faculty Awards Ceremony in the spring.
3. Faculty Career Award winners will receive a plaque and a financial award.
