Campus Rec Offering Free Personal Training Session

Purchase five sessions with a personal trainer during the month of October, and Campus Recreation will add on one, free 45-minute training session. Training sessions can be purchased at the member services desk at both the CARE/Crawley Fitness Center and the Campus Rec Center. Campus Rec’s certified, experienced trainers hold nationally recognized certifications through the following organizations: American Council on Exercise (ACE®), American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM®), National Exercise Trainers Association (NETA®), National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA™), as well as others.

Colin, a registered nutritionist, is just one of Campus Rec’s personal trainers. He is certified through NETA, and has a Bachelor's degree in Fitness and Nutrition as well as a Master's degree with an emphasis in Sports Nutrition. Colin has been competing in triathlons since 2005 and has earned All-American honors from USA Triathlon since 2008.

UC offers experiential learning abroad in Central America

In the tropical paradise of Costa Rica, fourth year journalism and international affairs student Stephanie Rivera embarked on an unforgettable journey of self-discovery and cultural immersion. Leaving behind the familiar sights and sounds of Cincinnati, Rivera set out to study abroad for a transformative semester in this Central American country, rich with vibrant biodiversity and cultural heritage. The College of Arts & Sciences (A&S) at UC places great emphasis on encouraging study abroad and experiential learning opportunities for its students. Recognizing the transformative power of global experiences, the college supports a variety of study-abroad programs that enable students to enhance their academic pursuits while gaining valuable cultural and personal experiences.
