UC Surplus Holds Public Sale on Nov. 1
The next UC Surplus Equipment Department's public sale is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 1, at the facility located at 5121 Fishwick Drive.
Special inventory to be offered includes a 1982 Bluebird bus that was converted for use as a traveling blood donation vehicle (price reduced to $2,250). The bus features a 125-amp generator and three roof air-conditioning units. Additional inventory includes Nautilus and Paramount exercise equipment; one Century and two Mackie large mixing consoles, and several sets of EV, EAW and JBL loudspeakers; LCD projectors; desktop computers (without hard drives or operating systems); and a variety of unique furniture items, electronics and lab equipment.
Purchases can be made via check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or money order, but no cash is accepted.

This includes being the birthplace of robots much like miniature race cars, combating fender to fender in an enclosed boxing ring. Combat robots like UC's Maximizer will again be fighting for first place in the National Havoc Robot League (NHRL) competition, slated for April 20.
