Catalyst Town Hall Rescheduled for Feb. 16

A host of new educational strategies and technologies are emerging, but it can be difficult to understand the benefits each offers. Considering how learning happens inside and outside of formal academic settings, this presentation will consider ways to engage learners effectively and build learning environments that make the best use of emerging technologies and practices.

Course Extension Requests
If you need to request an extension to keep student enrollment enabled for a 14FS course, please email the course ID to the UCIT Help desk at helpdesk@uc.edu by 9 a.m., Friday, Feb. 6.
Open Consultation Days
On January 8 & 9, the Center for Excellence in eLearning partnered with the Center for the Enhancement of Teaching & Learning (CETL) to host “Open Consultation Days.” Across both days, 
twenty-nine faculty/staff from thirteen different colleges/units met with eLearning and CET&L representatives to discuss eLearning pedagogy. Subjects included flipping the classroom, online course design and instruction, Blackboard, Kaltura, Echo360 and more.

Due to the success of the event, CET&L plans to schedule additional consultation days at three points during each fall and spring semester. The next event will be on February 19 & 20.

Bb Legacy No Longer Available by Jan. 30
Bb Legacy, UC's Blackboard system prior to the upgrade this past year, is reaching it's end of life. On Jan. 30, bblegacy.uc.edu will no longer be available.

Blackboard.uc.edu Automatic Redirect
By spring break 2015, blackboard.uc.edu will no longer redirect to canopy.uc.edu. Please take this opportunity to update your bookmarks.
