UC Surplus Holds Public Sale on March 7
The next UC Surplus Equipment Department's public sale is set for 9 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 7, at the facility located at 5121 Fishwick Drive.
Special inventory to be offered includes:
- 2001 Ford F550 stake body truck with working lift gate (reduced to $4,995)
- 1996 Chevy Astro cargo van
- A handful of remaining vintage Perey turnstiles
- A group of Borg-Warner bucket chairs in multiple colors
- High-quality adjustable lab stools and several high-top bar stools
- A selection of 19-inch computer monitors at $30 each
- LCD projectors
- A variety of computers, including laptops and desktops (with no hard drives or operating systems)
- Metal storage cabinets
- Several large office desk and a large reception desk
- A rotating pretzel warmer
- A bread warmer
- Many other unique lab and electronic items
Purchases can be made via check, credit card (Visa, Master Card, Discover) or money order, but no cash is accepted.

After earning a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering in Nepal, Sameer Pokhrel came to the United States to further his education. From an early age, he had a lifelong fascination with aviation. As an adult, he transformed this fascination into a career, pursuing a doctoral degree in aerospace engineering at the University of Cincinnati's historic program. Here, he has succeeded in research, instruction, and was recently named Graduate Student Engineer of the Month by the College of Engineering and Applied Science.
