'A Midsummer Night's Dream' Presented by Cincinnati Shakespeare Co. at UC Clermont April 8
The Cincinnati Shakespeare Company will perform A Midsummer Nights Dream at UC Clermont College on Wednesday April 8, at 7 p.m. in the Krueger Auditorium on the campus in Batavia.
A Midsummer Nights Dream is sponsored by the English, Languages and Fine Arts Department at UC Clermont College. There is no charge for admission. Everyone is invitedstudents, faculty, staff and the community.
The actors, young professionals from the Cincinnati Shakespeare Company, perform both at their theater on Race Street in Cincinnati and take selected productions on the road each year. This year will mark the sixth consecutive year that the Company has performed on the UC Clermont campus.
The Companys actors are guaranteed to bring high energy and a new perspective to Shakespeares classic tale of tragic young love. An additional feature of all of its traveling productions is a question-and-answer session immediately after the performance in which the actors field questions from the audience. The Q&A session, always lively, gives the audience an opportunity to understand the play from the actors perspective, and is a highlight of the evening. The play will last approximately two hours.
