UC Blood Drive Donations to Touch 2,202 Lives

University of Cincinnati students, faculty and staff rolled up their sleeves the week of Feb. 1 to help save lives in their community with blood donations.

“The event was a successful in registering 906 blood donors, of which 207 were first time donors.  The week-long event collected 734 lifesaving products which will help to save over 2,202 lives in Tri-State hospitals,” said Alecia Lipton, public information officer.  “The UC Blood Drive came at a critical time as we have been experiencing low donor turn out in recent weeks.”
