An influential entrepreneur who has found success in the business of romance will be the featured guest for the next edition of the UC Blue Ash College Entrepreneur Speaker Series.

Patty Brisben, the founder of Pure Romance, will be at UC Blue Ash for the speaker series from 7-8 p.m., Wednesday, March 9, in Muntz Hall.

The event is free and open to the public. It will be followed by a free reception with snacks and refreshments. As an added bonus, everyone who attends will receive a free gift from Pure Romance.

Brisben has authored an amazing success story that saw her start Pure Romance from her basement 20-plus years ago and turn it into an international, multi-million dollar corporation. The company sells its products in locations that include Australia, Canada, and South Africa, while maintaining its headquarters in downtown Cincinnati.

In this fun and interactive format, UC Blue Ash business/economics professor, Kent Lutz, will interview Brisben on stage. They will talk about how she found the inspiration for Pure Romance, the risks she took to get the business off the ground, and the decisions she made that helped it grow beyond expectations. The audience will also be invited to ask questions throughout the evening.

“I am so excited to share my journey with budding entrepreneurs and I hope they will find the information beneficial in their future endeavors,” says Brisben. “The road to success isn’t always easy, but I have learned the hard times and struggles make it well worth it.”

The UC Blue Ash College Entrepreneur Speaker Series features successful entrepreneurs from the region sharing helpful advice for anyone who is or may be interested in operating their own business. Past guests include Jeff Wyler of the Wyler Automotive Group; Buddy LaRosa, founder of LaRosa’s Pizza; and Craig Kurz, owner of Honeybaked Ham.

The event is free but seating is limited. To register for the UC Blue Ash College Entrepreneur Speaker Series with Patty Brisben go to www.ucblueash.edu/ess.
