IT@UC Office of Information Security Promotes Information Security Awareness Week, Oct. 24-27
Every October, the United States Department of Homeland Security sponsors National Cyber Security Awareness Month, a month dedicated to create a safe, secure, and resilient cyber environment.
Since 2009, the IT@UC Office of Information Security (OIS) has held an Information Security Awareness Week (ISAW), as a way to participate in National Cyber Security Awareness Month and spread awareness to the university community.
This years Information Security Awareness Week events will take place the week of Oct. 24-27 in Tangeman University Center (TUC), Room 300. The weeks topics will include personal security, social engineering, encrpytion and will conclude in a campus-wide shred event on McMicken Commons.
