CCM's Music For Food Benefit Concert supports Cincinnati's Freestore Foodbank


Students and faculty members will use their artistry to fight hunger through CCM's Music For Food benefit concert on Sunday, Jan. 28.

UC ingot   UC's College-Conservatory of Music presents the Music for Food benefit concert at 2 p.m. this Sunday, Jan. 28 at CCM’s Dieterle Vocal Arts Center. Part of a national musician-led initiative to support local hunger relief, all proceeds from this chamber music concert will benefit Cincinnati’s Freestore Foodbank.

Now in its third year, the concert is presented by series coordinators Lydia Brown, Gwen Coleman Detwiler and CCM’s string-quartet-in-residence, the Ariel Quartet.

In lieu of paid admission, concert attendees are asked to bring a donation of non-perishable food items or cash. All proceeds benefit the Freestore Foodbank.

Music for Food is a national 501(c)(3) non-profit organization focused on hunger relief. It’s concert series that strives to raise resources and awareness in the fight against hunger. The organization is in its seventh season and has local chapters in ten U.S. cities. Over 335,000 meals have been provided as a direct result of Music for Food concerts. Non-perishable food items or cash donation. Suggested donation: $20 general, $15 students
