Volunteers Needed for Spring Commencement

UC faculty, staff and students are encouraged to volunteer at Commencement ceremonies set for April 27-28. Deadline to sign up is April 11.

Members of the University of Cincinnati community are encouraged to volunteer at the Spring Commencement ceremony celebrating the Spring 2018 graduates.

Commencement will be celebrated with four ceremonies, three of which will be held at Nippert Stadium:

• Master's Recognition Ceremony, 2 p.m. Friday, April 27;
• Undergraduate Ceremony, 9 a.m. Saturday, April 28;
• Undergraduate Ceremony, 2 p.m. Saturday, April 28.

The Spring 2018 Doctoral Hooding will take place at the Campus Recreation Center on Frdiay, April 27 at 9 a.m. Volunteers are needed for all four ceremonies.

The first of the two undergraduate ceremonies will recognize students earning degrees from:

• The College-Conservatory of Music;
• UC Clermont College; 
• The College of Nursing;
• The College of Allied Health Sciences;
• The College of Medicine;
• The College of Engineering & Applied Science;
• The Carl H. Lindner College of Business.

The second undergraduate ceremony will recognize students earning degrees from:

• The McMicken College of Arts and Sciences;
• The College of Education, Criminal Justice, and Human Services;
• The College of Design, Architecture, Art, and Planning;
• UC Blue Ash College.

Volunteers are asked to serve for a few hours. Responsibilities may include serving as guides, providing directions to campus guests, assisting individuals with limited mobility, assisting in lining up graduates to march, holding doors for processions and other important duties.

Those interested in volunteering are asked to fill out a brief online sign-up form. Deadline to sign up is Wednesday, April 11.
