PBS Veteran and Fan Favorite Thaddeus Rex Featured in UC Clermont s Calico Theatre Series
Blending the energy of rock with the sensibility of Folk, Thaddeus Rex's concerts are "part Monty Python, part Dr. Seuss" (Washington Post) and for all kids.
A PBS veteran and acoustic rock musician, Rex passionately endorses the power of reading with original songs that have won multiple awards and been hailed "a sincere celebration of reading" (The Los Angeles Times) and "a detour off the beaten path" (Parenting Magazine).
Get your tickets now for Read Like a Rock Star October 10 at 7 p.m. and October 11 at 10 a.m.
Tickets prices are $6 for adults and $4 for children, seniors and UC students. Performances will take place in the Krueger Auditorium located in the Snyder Building on the UC Clermont College Campus.
In addition to the performance UC Clermont will be offering a Song Writing workshop to compliment the show on Saturday.
Song Writing - Write Like a Rock Star!!

What's the secret to transforming a blank sheet of paper into a poem, story, or report? PBS veteran and Award winning singer/songwriter Thaddeus Rex loves to teach the art of creative writing. With specific techniques to help generate ideas and get them on paper, this interactive workshop engages everyone in the room as children brainstorm ideas and collectively write a song. Writing is not easy, but with the right tools, you can do it. Join Rex and Write Like a Rock Star!!
Recommended for grades 3-6
(Maximum attendance is 70) Cost per child is $6
Participants will write and record a song with Thaddeus Rex during the workshop. All participants will receive an mp3 recording of the song after the workshop via email.
