The University of Cincinnati College-Conservatory of Music will host two special "Bon Voyage" concerts by the CCM Chamber Players July 13 and 14 as a warmup for the group's trip to the Festival A Tempo in Caracas, Venezuela.
The Chamber Players are the first American group to perform at the festival, which features contemporary music and draws composers, artists, writers and performing musicians from around the world.
The Chamber Players will be the featured ensemble this year. Prior to their departure for Venezuela, Cincinnati music enthusiasts will have the opportunity to hear the Chamber Players perform the program they will repeat at the festival.
The Chamber Players will feature works of Latin American composers Alfredo del Monaco, Marianella Arocho, Adina Izarra, Diogenes Rivas and CCM’s own Ricardo Zohn-Muldoon.
