University of Cincinnati students, faculty and staff can still clear out some unwanted items in their closets that could be desperately wanted by those less fortunate. The University College Student Tribunal is collecting coats in boxes outside Room 2110 French Hall through the Christmas Holiday. The coats will be delivered to the Drop-Inn Center in Over-the-Rhine.
Anthony McCloud, president of the University College Student Tribunal, says 82 coats have been collected so far, along with an assortment of other items, such as pants and hats. The Student Tribunal launched the coat drive just before Thanksgiving.
Eimee Donbar, advisor to the Student Tribunal, adds students are also collecting canned goods at the same site at 2110 French Hall. The canned food items will be delivered to the FreeStore FoodBank downtown.
This is the second year for the Tribunal's holiday coat drive.
