Homecoming 2000 is hailed as the "Rivalry of the Century" as
the Bearcats take on the Miami Redhawks at 2 p.m. Saturday, Oct.
28 in Nippert Stadium.
The two teams first went head to head in the very first
college football game ever played in Ohio back in 1888, when the Bearcats and Miami
played to a scoreless tie in Oxford.
Here are some of the highlights of the Homecoming celebration
and events to welcome alumni:
Homecoming Hospitality Tent: 9 a.m. in front of
McMicken Hall. Alumni can indulge in free mugs of hot chocolate
and coffee.
23rd Great Bearcat Run and Cat Walk:
The walk begins at 10:45 a.m.
The run begins at 10:55 a.m. on Clifton Avenue
Cost: $10 pre-registration and $15 registration after Oct. 21.
Homecoming Parade: Begins at 11 a.m. on Calhoun Street
and follows the perimeter of campus to Clifton Avenue and Martin
Luther King Drive.
All Alumni Luncheon:Begins at noon inside the Myers
Alumni Center

Parking and Street Closing Information
Special room rates are available at $79 for Homecoming guests
at the Kingsgate Conference Center. The deadline for reservations
