The first new residence halls in more than 25 years will open to a full house during Fall Quarter 2002.
The Jefferson Residence Halls on the corner of University and Jefferson Avenues represent a new concept in on-campus living, featuring more privacy and more modern conveniences. The halls quickly filled to capacity earlier this year, well before construction was completed.
The project is just one part of UC's MainStreet project to improve the quality of student life and a cornerstone of a 15-year plan to improve all food and housing options on the UC campus.
