New Issues In Privacy Subject Of Seminar

The Center for Corporate Law at the UC College of Law is co-sponsoring a seminar, "Privacy & Data Protection Law: The Emerging Frontier," from 10:30 a.m. till 5 p.m. on Oct. 4 at the Hyatt Regency Cincinnati. The seminar will explore and provide answers to a wide range of cutting edge privacy issues including privacy rights of employees in the employer and employee relationship, privacy issues in e-Commerce, the European Data Protective Directive, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the role of chief privacy officers (CPOs) in American businesses.

The keynote speaker is Fred H. Cate, director of the Information Law and Commerce Institute at the Indiana University School of Law. He is one of the nation's leading voices on privacy law and has authored the books Privacy In The Information Age and Privacy In Perspective.
