CCM Alum Leads Alumni Association

David Macejko was appointed executive director of the UC Alumni Association effective Feb. 1.

" In many ways I feel like a freshman again," Macejko said. "Unfortunately, at my age, I don't feel like a freshman in the ways I would prefer. And who moved all these buildings around?"

Macejko (pronounced "ma-say-co") is a 1971 graduate of UC's College-Conservatory of Music and a 30-year veteran of radio sales and management, He has held positions at various locations as vice president, general manager, market manager and chief operating officer. After more than a decade at Cincinnati's WEBN, where he was sales manager and general manager, Macejko piloted radio stations or station clusters in Dayton, Ohio, Louisiana and Florida.

While his business assignments took him around the country, Macejko served as a board member of the UC Alumni Association. He is a member of Sigma Sigma, Phi Kappa Theta Fraternity, Cincinnatus and Metro. He is a former member of the Florida Sun Coast Goodwill and the Northern Louisiana Goodwill board of directors, where he held positions as treasurer and executive committee member.

Married to the former Melissa Schroeder, Macejko's family includes two daughters - Megan, a high school senior, and Rebecca, a freshman at Louisiana State University - and a son, John David, currently in the 5th grade.
