Mock Trial Team Qualifies
for National Tournament

University of Cincinnati's Mock Trial Team placed fourth in the regional tournament of the Undergraduate Mock Trial Association in Toledo Feb. 15-17. That showing has earned them a trip to the Gold Flight national championship tournament in Des Moines April 5-7.
Two team members also won top prizes in the regional tourney: Josh Leckrone, team captain and a political science senior, was named Best Attorney, and Dan Lentz, a chemical engineering pre-junior, was named Best Witness. Other team members are:
- Cori Funk, senior, political science major.
- Brothers Josh Kaufman, sophomore, information systems major, and Dan Kaufman, freshman, electronic media major.
- Brock Fortman, freshman, information systems major.
- Karen Hooper, junior, criminal justice major.
- Jessica DiGirolamo, freshman, communication major.
The coaches are Katherine Pridemore, a UC alumna in political science (1995) and law (1998) and assistant prosecutor for Hamilton County, and Shannon Haferkamp, third-year law student at UC.
