Check Out Some Scenes From UC s Worldfest 2004
Each spring, UC celebrates Worldfest, a recognition and celebration of UCs global connections. UCs Office of International Student Services is the annual sponsor of the Worldfest International Festival, which was held May 6 on Sigma Sigma Commons. The fair featured 30 booths representing cultures from around the world. Performances at the fair were sponsored by Discover Philippines Student Association, the Lion of Babylon Center for Arabic Culture, the Bi-Okoto Drum and Dance Theatre, the Ohio Valley Scottish Society Dancers, the South Asian Arts Collaborative and the UC Martial Arts Club.
UCs Worldfest participation in the On the Same Page community-wide reading project drew close to 300 people to see Crossing the River author Caryl Phillips on May 4. The event was Webcast live, and the archived Webcast is still available for viewing.
Worldfest continues through May 15. Check the schedule of future events.
