Pathways To Success--And A Handy Campus Shortcut
Photos by Lisa Ventre
University Pavilion provides pathways to buildings across campus.
Bridges connect University Pavilion with the College-Conservatory of Music as well as Tangeman University Center, the student center that's currently closed for a massive MainStreet renovation.
Other noted features of University Pavilion include:
"The Window on the Campus" -- A glass wraparound wall covers the entire six stories of the McMicken Commons side of University Pavilion. This side of the building, the main student entrance, was designed as the grandest entrance to the building.
A fountain plaza leading from McMicken Circle (the UC drive entrance from Clifton Avenue) to the Visitors Center entrance in University Pavilion.
A five-story atrium
Cascading stairs inside the building and on the McMicken Commons side exterior
Glass-walled conference rooms that hang in the atrium from the fourth and fifth floors
A roof-level observation deck overlooking McMicken Commons - an attraction for UC visitors and a site for campus activities
