New One Stop Feature Promises Convenience For Students

A new feature on the University of Cincinnati One Stop Web site will make it even more convenient for students to take care of their bill anytime or anywhere. The feature allows students to pay their bill online from their personal checking or savings account, avoiding the lines or the postage expense of the old way of conducting university business.

To access the new feature, go to the One Stop Web site and click on "pay my bill." Students will then be asked to list their routing number and account number, listed at the bottom of their personal checks.

"The One Stop Web site continues to receive positive feedback and heavy usage from students," says James D. Williams, director of Enrollment Services. "Since the site was first launched in August 2001, there have been 1,177,009 visitors."

Students familiar with One Stop are already putting the new feature to use. University Cashier Carla Barrett says six users found the new feature when it was first launched Sept. 18. As of Sept. 25, the site had been accessed for 236 payments.
