If you are able to connect to the UC Remote Access modem pool but unable to browse the Internet or check your e-mail, then your DNS setting probably needs to be changed.
The conversion to the new Cisco network means anyone using UC's Remote Access to connect to the Internet needs to configure their home computer so it automatically gets the new DNS numbers each time they log in. The following instructions explain how to make the change on a variety of different computer operation systems:
Windows 95 or Windows 98
Start by double clicking on My Computer
Next, double click on Dial Up Networking.
Right click ONE TIME on your connection to UC.
Left click one time on Properties.
Left click once on the tab titled either "Server Types" or "Networking".
Left click once on the button labeled TCP/IP Setting.
About a third of the way down the screen there should be a sentence that says, "Server assigned name server addresses." Left click once and put the dot next to that sentence.
Click OK, and click OK again. Now you should be able to connect to the Internet as you normally do. No rebooting is required.
Windows Millennium
Click on the Start button.
Go to Settings, then left click on Dial Up Networking.
Right click once on your connection to UC and left click once on Properties.

In TCP/IP there are two sets of numbers toward the bottom of the window. They start with 129.137. Delete both sets of numbers.
