UC students will head Into the Streets with the local agency, People Working Cooperatively Saturday, Nov. 17 to help the elderly and disabled winterize their homes. The work will take place through the city of Cincinnati. Students will meet at 8 a.m. at the parking lot of the Alumni Center and then travel to the office of People Working Cooperatively to get their assignments.
Approximately 15-20 UC students will help out by placing insulating liners over windows, raking leaves and doing general upkeep before the winter weather moves in. They should be finished at around 2 p.m.
Into the Streets is a UC initiative under the UC Center for Community Engagement. Students interested in joining the event should contact M.J. Woeste, Center for Community Engagement, at 556-1559.
