Fundraiser Celebration Has Students Up 'Til Dawn

UC's Greek organizations will sponsor Friday Night Live with Up 'Til Dawn, Saturday, Feb. 2, 9 p.m.-2 a.m. at the Armory Fieldhouse. The free event, which is also alcohol-free, is a celebration of the Greek organizations' success in raising $15,000 for St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, which provides free treatment for children with catastrophic illnesses.

Gina Ginn is director of Up 'Til Dawn and is a member of Theta Phi Alpha sorority and outgoing president of UC Panhellenic Association, the governing body that oversees UC's six sororities. Ginn says 24 Greek organizations joined the fundraiser and started raising the money last summer. Ginn says the Tennessee hospital is currently assisting 40 families from the Greater Cincinnati area. Some of those young patients will be sharing their stories at Up 'Til Dawn.

Up 'Til Dawn will also feature a Karaoke contest, a three-on-three basketball tournament, a Twister contest and movie trivia contest as well as an inflatable obstacle course. For more information on the event, contact Up 'Til Dawn president Gina Ginn.
