Crash landing in an airplane that ran out of gas. Leaning out over a precipice on a very windy mountainside in Crete. Walking on lava so hot the sole of her shoe melted off. On the job, Lisa Ventre faces an unusual array of obstacles. Yet, this senior photojournalist consistently produces outstanding images that show the University of Cincinnati at its best. Her award-winning work can be seen on the university's Web site, countless brochures, other publications and displays. Says Chris Curran, assistant director of public relations: "Enhancing the university's image is Lisa's primary job, and she does this not only with her outstanding photographs, but also as a person.
