Lunch and Learn with Desktop Yoga

The UC community can enjoy a free lunch and limber up when certified Cincinnati Yoga instructor Julie Lusk brings her Desktop Yoga to the Lunch and Learn series. The event, part of UC Wellness Week, will be held Wednesday, Feb. 13, from 1-2 p.m. in UC Faculty Club, second floor. The Lunch and Learn series, sponsored by UC Wellness Center, is free to the UC community. Julie Lusk

Lusk is the author of the book, Desktop Yoga, which features yoga exercises that workers can easily do in their own office cubicles. The program is designed to keep workers alert and productive, as well as reducing the risk of repetitive motion injuries. Lusk says Desktop Yoga can be used to counter problems such as lower back pain, neck pain and carpal tunnel syndrome.

Lusk is the regional director of Wholistic Health and Wellness Center for Mercy Health Partners of Greater Cincinnati.
