Nanotechnology Cincinnati Health & Safety
NOEHS - Nanotechnology Occupational and Environmental Health & Safety DECEMBER 4-7, 2006 CINCINNATI, OHIO USA
Conference Scope
The Conference will present technical sessions and discussions targeting (a) applications, and (b) science and research programs as described below:

The Implications & Practices Program
will deal with integrated solutions and current issues of immediate concern to personnel who are currently or will be exposed to nanoparticles/nanomaterials/nano-products and consumers of nano-based products.

The Science and Research Program will be centered on developing research agendas and dissemination of the latest research findings. This program consists of health effects, exposure assessment, and exposure control issues for nano-based processes and products and on the use of Nanohealth technologies in prevention, detection and treatment of occupational diseases.

Conference Specific Aims

The Conference is centered on the impact of NT on occupational and environmental health and safety from two perspectives (Figure 1): (1) promotion and protection of individual safety and health along the life cycle of nano-based products and (2) use of emerging technology in prevention and detection/treatment of occupational and environmental diseases. The life cycle of nano-based products envisioned in this Conference is depicted in Figure 2.
