The Center for Dialogue

The
University Ombuds office houses the Center for Dialogue, a program that
promotes positive conflict management, education, training and
assistance for all UC community members.
The Center for Dialogue's programs focus on promoting and teaching
conflict management skills through experiential activities, programs
and workshops.
The Center for Dialogue is currently recruiting students to participate in the "Just Conversations" Mediation program.
The "Just Conversations" student mediator Application is available here. Applications are due on March 3, 2008.
The Center for Dialogue strives to develop a University community:
- where learning results from the facilitation of difficult conversations
- where respectful and inclusive communication is inspired and instilled
- where participants practice civility, embrace freedom, promote justice and accept responsibility
- where dialogue is modeled as an effective tool for managing conflict and understanding differences
