University Ombuds

About Us

Our Mission

To respond to the concerns of the university students, faculty and staff. We examine complaints, refer problems to other university offices and offer mediation and conflict resolution services.

We are dedicated to cutting through bureaucratic red tape in order to solve problems confidentially and promptly.

The ombuds office is not an agent of notice for the university and we keep no records. The ombuds office is a part of the Division of Student Affairs & Services.

Nondisclosure Agreement

By talking with the UC ombuds staff, you and the ombuds agree that the Office of the University Ombuds will not disclose or keep records of individually identifiable information; we will not testify or participate in any formal proceeding; communications with the ombuds are privileged; and this privilege is held by the ombuds office and cannot be waived by others.
