Orientation Mission Statement

The University of Cincinnati New Student Orientation Office is committed to providing programs that will aid and facilitate the transition of our new students and their family members into the University of Cincinnati. At every event we strive to make new students and their family members feel welcomed and appreciated, while promoting and exposing new students to the array of intellectual, cultural and social opportunities offered to them at the University of Cincinnati. By participating in Bearcats Bound Orientation, new students will be better prepared to begin their academic careers at the university.

The Bearcats Bound Orientation program will include academic and social components and will address opportunities and resources necessary for student success. During our events, students will have intentional opportunities to meet and interact with faculty, staff, Student Orientation Leaders and other incoming students. Sessions will provide new students with information about academic policies, procedures, requirements, and programs to assist them in making well-informed decisions.

The Bearcats Bound Orientation program will also provide programs and information to families to assist them in their transition into and their engagement within the University of Cincinnati community.
