Faculty Resources and Support
This section outlines the many resources available to support PBL. University Libraries and Academic Information Technology & Libraries partner to provide a variety of workshops that focus on technology and teaching. In addition, University Libraries has developed a Library PBL web site which provides links to specific resources that you can integrate into your class. The web site provides information on basic research skills, management of information, and a variety of resources designed to help students evaluate and find the appropriate information to solve specific problems. The PBL Steering Committee offers periodic workshops, which focus on group communication skills, problem writing, and assessment. Links to major PBL websites, such as University of Delaware and Samford University provide a wealth of additional information with practical guidance for integrating PBL into your classroom, and also identified are core books, articles and handbooks on PBL. In addition, this section provides information on important local, regional and international conferences. Consultant services are also available. Members of the PBL steering committee can assist you in integrating PBL into your classroom.
