We are now developing a social program
for the conference which includes:
-
Monday, June
8 and Tuesday June 9 – The conferee will
have just too many choices with our sponsors
hosting hospitality suites with invitations
for all (they are outdoing themselves and we
highly recommend them). To complicate
matters, we may be able to provide you with
another option – a Cincinnati Reds baseball
game with the first established team in
major league baseball – if they are in town.
-
Starting
about nine on any evening, the youngsters
from 18 to 80 rock on at Main Street
Cincinnati or Newport on the Levy, one mile
from the Symposium hotel, where we find all
kinds of entertainment including The Hofbrau
House – a bit east of Munich, but in the
full spirit – come polka with Dave, Gary Joe
and Ken – see if you can tire them out!
-
Post-symposium – if there is sufficient
interest, we will arrange a 2.5 day
post-symposium tour (two motel nights) to
Mammoth Cave with stops on our way back in
Bardstown (great summer entertainment and
near the home of ‘Makers Mark’ only Kentucky
Bourbon here – none of that Scotch or Irish
stuff) and at the Stephen Foster Memorial
Homestead. (See
Excursions to express your interest
online).
So much for the formal things, but
clearly there are many things for you to enjoy
in the Cincinnati Metropolitan area and
tri-state area of Ohio, Indiana, Kentucky, many
in just one or two hour drives on exceptional
freeways. We list some of these here, but please
