| Charge: | Serves as a forum for the deans to discuss and evaluate important issues facing the University and to provide advice, guidance, and recommendations to the provost and president on these issues and other academic matters. |
| Composition: | The Council of Deans is composed of the deans of all the colleges of the university, the dean of the Graduate School, the dean and university librarian, and the associate provost/director of the division of professional practice. The chair rotates among the deans. |
