Review nomination materials for the Honorary Degree and Award for Excellence and recommend candidates to the president. The president then makes an independent recommendation to the Board of Trustees, who have final authority regarding determination of the awards.

Eleven members appointed by, and advisory to, the president, including representatives from the following constituencies: trustees, cabinet, deans, faculty, students and the Cincinnati community.
