Goal 1: Place Students at the Center

  • Students Say - Results from the most recent student surveys – National Survey of Student Engagement and Student Satisfaction Survey – show big gains in students’ satisfaction with services, learning, student-faculty interaction and the campus environment, including parking on campus!

  • Climb on Board - Seven percent more faculty and five percent more students use Blackboard over last year and course content has jumped 19 percent. Blackboard gives students 24/7 online access to course materials and an easy way to communicate with classmates and professors.

  • Gold-Medal Dining - UC students aren’t the only ones raving about CenterCourt. The all-you-care-to-eat residential restaurant in the Campus Recreation Center won the Grand Prize from the National Association of College and University Food Services, sweeping all residential restaurants that matched menus in its category.

  • Going the Distance - Distance learning enrollment increases 18 percent, with 10 colleges providing 14 distance learning programs.

  • Bearcat Transportation System (BTS) - Since its launch in January, BTS passenger counts have exceeded 18,000. The student-supported shuttles are now equipped with global positioning systems to better manage the fleet and boost efficiency.

  • UC Mobile - The newest campus connectivity brings course alerts, mobile help and shuttle bus notifications to Bearcat cell phones.

  • Privacy Protection – Where ever legally possible, UC has stopped using Social Security numbers to identify students and employees. The new UCID system will protect student privacy and security.
