Goal 1: Place Students at the Center
Bearcat
Shuttle - Fueled by student support and leadership, the Bearcat
Transportation System began service on January 3, 2006, with two additional
shuttles stopping at 14 locations from 7 am to 6 pm, Monday through
Friday. Shuttle service is available for all UC students, staff and
faculty who have a current UC ID badge. -
Smoke-Free
Campus - A student-driven initiative led to the enactment of
a new policy that prohibits smoking within 25 feet of any building entrance
on campus. Smoking is also prohibited in campus buildings.
- Raising
the Bar - New Academic Success Criteria create minimum admissions
standards for student success, effective fall 2006.
- Students
Say - The lastest National Survey of Student Engagement (NSSE)
results show significant gains in students' perceptions of support services,
active and collaborative learning and student-faculty interaction.
- Biggest
and Brightest - UC enrolled the largest freshman class in 16
years this fall. With high class ranks, average GPAs and college entrance
exam scores, this class is brighter and better prepared for college.
- Good
to Great - To serve students better the One Stop Center has
added service associates, installed two electronic message boards, and
expanded all services to evening hours and Saturdays.
