Researchers at the Department of Energy Stanford Linear Accelerator Center announced the discovery of a new sub-atomic particle on April 28. The newly discovered particle, known as Ds(2317), provides insight into the forces that bind subatomic particles together.Brian Meadows, professor of physics at the University of Cincinnati, heads the work group that discovered the new particle, and drafted the paper describing its discovery.
