UC Professor Named President of National Co-op Organization
In March UC Assistant Professor Anita Todd, co-op coordinator for the
electrical engineering program, was named President of the Cooperative
Education & Internship Association (CEIA), the national organization
providing professional development opportunities and resources for co-op
professionals.
Prior to her role as president, Professor Todd served as CEIA president-elect
and Vice President of Marketing and Membership. She also served as conference
chair, planning for the organization’s 2007 conference held in
Dallas, Texas and in 2006 was actively involved in planning for CEIA’s
largest conference in years which celebrated co-op’s 100 year anniversary.
In 2004, CEIA awarded Professor Todd the highest honor in the field
of cooperative education, the Dean Herman Schneider Award, for her achievements
and contributions to the field. She was the third UC faculty member to
receive this award.
