Ed Basista

As the Business Manager of the Division, Ed is responsible for the daily operation of the office and staff functions. In doing so he supervises a staff of seven professional support personnel as well as the coop students and student workers that the Division employs. He is also responsible for all financial functions in the Division and the coordination of special projects.

Ed received a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electrical Engineering from Youngstown State University in 1974, and a Masters in Business Administration (MBA) from the University of Dayton in 1979. Before coming to the University of Cincinnati in December, 2002 Ed worked in the telecommunications industry for 28 years spending time at Ohio Bell, Western Electric, AT&T Network Systems, and Lucent Technologies. During that time, Ed held positions in engineering, network operations planning, technical sales, and sales operations staff.
