Eileen Crisanti

Eileen Crisanti is an Adjunct Assistant Professor in the Division of Professional Practice. She joined the Division in January 2005 and advises students who are enrolled in the University of Cincinnati’s Bachelor of Urban Planning Program (BUP). The BUP program is a highly regarded program and enjoys a singular advantage over all other planning programs: it is the only one to require cooperative education.

Eileen’s overarching goal is to create opportunities for students that maximize their co-op experiences. She does this by actively developing a set of employers that represent the broad range of planning applications, by helping students strategically plan the types of co-op experiences they chose so as to help provide post-graduate career direction, and by continuing the strong and synergistic connection between the Division of Professional Practice and the School of Planning where students pursue their academics.

Prior to joining the Division of Professional Practice, Eileen worked for 23 years at the Procter & Gamble Company in Research & Development. She worked at four technical centers in the Cincinnati area, doing project work for brands such as Folgers, Bounce, Downy, Crest, and Dawn. In addition to her technical contributions, Eileen also learned important professional and leadership practices. It is these sought-after business practices that Eileen draws upon in her position within the Division.

Eileen stays active in the planning profession through membership in the American Planning Association and through her volunteer efforts in local planning initiatives.

Eileen holds a Master of Community Planning degree (University of Cincinnati, 2002), a Bachelor of Applied & General Studies degree with concentrations in Anthropology and Sociology (University of Cincinnati, 1998), and an Associate of Applied Science degree in Chemical Engineering Technology (Wake Technical Institute, 1979). Eileen currently lives in West Chester in Butler County and is a native of the Cincinnati area.
