Assistant Professor Liam Ream holds both Master of Architecture and Bachelor of Environmental Design degrees from Miami University, Oxford OH. Registered as an architect in 1990, he has held positions with the Cincinnati-based practices of SFA Architects, PDT Architects, CDS Associates, EGC Construction, Federated Department Stores (Macy’s) and Belcan Corporation (all UC ProPEL employers). Liam has designed numerous regional projects for workplace, school, retail and residential use groups.
Liam joined UC ProPEL’s faculty in Jan 2010 as DAAP Bachelor of Science in Architecture’s Co-op Adviser. Of note is his conception and development of “Co-op for Causes” (C4C). This interdisciplinary experiential learning model gathers students from applicable majors into co-op term collaborative studios dedicated to research and design for non-profit partner missions such as the Cynthiana KY Rotary Club’s program for Haitian redevelopment and the Cincinnati Dream Center’s mission of sustainable enterprise, community engagement and holistic health for the Tri-state’s marginalized.
