European Experiential Learning Program

Europeian Experience

Students will travel to Turin, Italy, Milan, Italy and Barcelona Spain.  This is a 3 credit hour undergraduate course which can be used for an elective  or as an  international experience. Industry site visits include:  Luxottiica, BasicNet, S.p.A., and General Cable.  Cultural site visits include:  Mole, Egyptian Museum, Cinema Museum,  Sagrada Familia,  FC Barcelona futball game, Las Ramblas, Guell Park,  Gothic Quarter and much more.

Eligibility:   All undergraduate students who are over 18 years of age.   Co-op students will be able to fit this trip between Spring and Summer Semester.


Students will be asked to fill out an application form and submit it by November 9, 2015.   There is a cap of 20 students for this study tour.  This is a competitive application process.  Please submit an application even if you are not 100% sure you will be able to go;  if you do not have an application you cannot go.

Program Overview:  This course encompasses integrating experiential learning in a study abroad opportunity.  Students will experience interaction with business, universities and cultural events in Italy and Spain.  Students will spend 3 days in Torino, 3 days in Milan and 4 days in Barcelona, Spain.   

Living Accommodations:   Students will stay in safe, faculty selected  hotels throughout the trip and will be sharing a room with one/two other student.  Students may choose to partner with a friend or we will help you find someone with whom you can room.

Students must participate in a UC International Pre-Departure Seminar

Limited scholarship money may be available through your college.  Please check with your college.

Projected Costs:

Costs are based on number of participants.  Approximate cost $2,500 without tutition.  Studens will receive a $500 block grant towards the program costs.  Cost includes airfare, lodging, program fee and some group dinner.  Cost does not include meals, entertainment or personal spending.
