European Experiential Learning Program

Europeian Experience

Students will travel to Turin, Italy, Milan, Italy and Barcelona Spain.  This is a 3 credit hour undergraduate course which can be used for an elective  or as an  international experience. Industry site visits include:  Luxotiica, BasicNet, S.p.A., Europe-UPS, Honeywell, and Martini & Ross.  Cultural site visits include:  Mole, Egyptian Museum, Cinema Museum,  Sagrada Familia,  FC Barcelona futball game, Las Ramblas, Guell Park,  Gothic Quarter and much more.

Eligibility:   All undergraduate students who are over 18 years of age.   Co-op students will be able to fit this trip between Spring and Summer Semester.

Application:

Students will be asked to fill out an application form and submit it as soon as possible.   There is a cap of 16 students for this study tour.  The application process will be on a first come first serve basis.  Please submit an application even if you are not 100% sure you will be able to go;  if you do not have an application you cannot go, so fill it out and we will see what we can work out...

Program Overview:  This course encompasses integrating experiential learning in a study abroad opportunity.  Students will experience interaction with business, universities and cultural events in Italy and Spain.  Students will spend 4 days in Torino, 3 days in Milan and 4 days in Barcelona, Spain.   

Living Accommodations:   Students will stay in safe, faculty selected  hotels throughout the trip and will be sharing a room with one other student.  Students may choose to partner with a friend or we will help you find someone with whom you can room.

Students must participate in a UC International Pre-Departure Seminar

Limited scholarship money may be available through UC International Services

Projected Costs:

Costs are based on number of participants.  Assuming 12 participants, the cost is approximately $3,800 per person.  Cost includes airfare, lodging, program fee and one group dinner.  Cost does not include meals, entertainment or personal spending.
