![]() Thomas M. NewboldThomas M. Newbold grew up in the Dayton suburb of Oakwood. He attended the University of Cincinnati where he obtained an Associate of Science Degree in Industrial Management, Bachelor of Science Degree in Education, Master’s Degree in Education, and has partially completed work toward his Doctorate. Prior to coming to the University, Professor Newbold was a Co-op Coordinator at Cincinnati State Technical and Community College. Professor Newbold has been with the Division of Professional Practice since September of 1990. He has been a tenured Professor since September, 1999. The Ohio Cooperative Education Association (OCEA) named Professor Newbold, Educator of the Year. He has held 12 of 17 possible Board positions with OCEA, including the Presidency. With fellow Professors from the Division of Professional Practice, he has produced 5, award winning videos. He has made numerous presentations to local, regional, national, and international co-op organizations. In his spare time, Tom Newbold makes works of art out of x-rays. Known as Dr. X, X-Ray Artisan, his works have been displayed at the Contemporary Art Center, in New York City, and other venues. He also collects and makes displays of his baseball card collection. An avid boater, he can be seen cruising up the Ohio River in his pontoon boat.
