Clare is a Cincinnati, Ohio native with Bachelors of Arts in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Dayton. After engaging volunteers & creating programs at the Montgomery County Jail and Heartland Hospice, she became the Director of United Way's Volunteer Connection in Dayton, Ohio, supporting high-impact, regional volunteer initiatives in local schools, businesses, and communities. Moving back to Cincinnati, Clare joined the team at University of Cincinnati's Center for Community Engagement; connecting UC to the community through service and volunteerism. Currently, Clare serves as the Program Director for the Mayerson Foundation High School Service-Learning Program; connecting the community to the classroom of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky high schools. The program helps to reduce barriers to quality service-learning through: consultation and funding to improve school service initiatives, integration of service into the academic curriculum, enhancement of community service with preparation & reflection activities, and recognition of student achievement in the areas of service and volunteerism. Her passion for collaborative community involvement is nurtured through organizations such as Impact 100, CAVA, YPCC, & Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, to name a few.
