Clare Blankenmeyer

Clare is a Cincinnati, Ohio native with Bachelors of Arts in Social Work and Psychology from the University of Dayton.  After engaging volunteers & creating programs at the Montgomery County Jail and Heartland Hospice, she became the Director of United Way's Volunteer Connection in Dayton, Ohio, supporting high-impact, regional volunteer initiatives in local schools, businesses, and communities.  Moving back to Cincinnati, Clare joined the team at University of Cincinnati's Center for Community Engagementconnecting UC to the community through service and volunteerism.  Currently, Clare serves as the Program Director for the Mayerson Foundation High School Service-Learning Program; connecting the community to the classroom of Greater Cincinnati & Northern Kentucky high schools.  The program helps to reduce barriers to quality service-learning through: consultation and funding to improve school service initiatives, integration of service into the academic curriculum, enhancement of community service with preparation & reflection activities, and recognition of student achievement in the areas of service and volunteerism.  Her passion for collaborative community involvement is nurtured through organizations such as Impact 100, CAVA, YPCC, & Girl Scouts of Western Ohio, to name a few.
